Public meeting on Brent Cross Cricklewood Development

DHRA delivered flyers to 4000 households in Brent informing them of the Brent Cross Cricklewood Development and inviting them to a public meeting addressed by its development manager, Jonathan Joseph. As the proposals are in Barnet Councilís area, no public meetings were planned for Brent so DHRA organised this one on 7 November 2006. Residents found out about plans for the very large business, residential, shopping and recreational developments planned over the next 20 years to create a new town centre. They were informed about the new train station, a road bridge across the railway line opposite Oxgate Gardens, potential bus routes through the area and new traffic planning along Edgware Road and at Staples Corner. They were most concerned about the plans for a waste treatment plant in Edgware Road on the old Parcelforce site, not far from our Lady of Grace Infant School. As a result, DHRA asked Jonathan Joseph to arrange for a visit to a similar waste treatment facility.
